You are watching: 2004 ford ranger 3.0 firing order
So follow to mine Haynes hands-on the engine cylinder numbers go 123 native front of the engine compartment earlier on the passenger side, and also 456 ~ above the driver side. The hands-on says the cylinders correspond with the coil load 123 indigenous front to ago on the passenger side, and also 564 ~ above the driver. But my truck has always been hooked up through 123 ~ above the driver side and also 465 on the various other side instead of 564. Has anyone else watched anything like this? i tried connecting my wires the way the manual says however the truck wouldnt also run. Hand-operated my enginecoil engine coil engine34 36 53 "26 25 62 "15 14 41 " FRONT
the diagram i tried to do didnt come out well. Imagine those numbers together 3 columns, each column comprised of 3 sets of 2 numbers. The first column is the diagram of the coil in mine manual, the second column is the engine cylinder order, and also the last pillar is the means my coil fill is set up
Thanks! ns hooked up my van in this fashion and also it finally eliminated my misfire. Why would certainly the haynes manual show the wires collection up together if the coil to be turned 180 degrees around? has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?
On older trucks the coil is turned roughly 180 degrees, the picture in the hand-operated is for older trucks. BTW if friend clean off the coil they are marked.
I was simply going to ask this question, but decided come look first. Many thanks a many N20-3.0 because that the pic. That is a life saver. I had actually my wires going 456 ~ above the coil. Now I know I should switch the two. The pic will help me put my vacuum hose and heater hoses in, as there were once built.^bump
